Company Achievements

Over the past seven years, Brilliant Light Therapy has been a pioneer in the development and market introduction of home-use, LED-powered devices that support oral care, including improvements in gum health and the management of bad breath. In 2020, the company launched its first device, the ORAL-X3, which received widespread acclaim. Advancements in Teeth Whitening

Beyond its work with blue light devices, the company recently introduced a non-peroxide teeth whitening gel based on the PAP formula. Developed and manufactured in the UK specifically for ORAL-X, this gel is approved for sale throughout the UK and EU, meeting strict regulatory requirements. Unlike peroxide-based gels, which only perform effectively at very low concentrations, the PAP-based Oral-Blu gel delivers superior whitening results and is suitable for those with sensitive teeth. The Oral-X Blue LED mouth tray acts as an accelerator, boosting the gel’s effectiveness.

Expansion in the UK and Europe

In 2025, Brilliant Light Therapy launched the OralBlu division to promote the ORAL-X brand throughout the UK and Europe. These products are designed for home use, focusing on teeth whitening and the improvement of oral health by addressing issues such as bad breath and gum disease. All devices and whitening compounds are manufactured in the UK, appealing to consumers who appreciate locally made products.

The innovative technology utilises blue light from LEDs at a wavelength of 405 nm, which has been clinically proven to enhance the efficacy of teeth whitening compounds and support overall oral health. Traditional teeth whitening products often rely on hydrogen peroxide, but due to health concerns, the UK and EU have imposed strict regulations limiting peroxide levels in home-use products, which affects their effectiveness. In response, a new, peroxide-free whitening compound, PAP, has been developed in the UK, offering a safe and effective solution for individuals with sensitive teeth.

Signature Products and Features

The standout OralBlu gum and whitening kit combines the OralBlu PAP whitening gel with the Oral-X LED blue light device. This device is the most powerful available over the counter, equipped with 42 LEDs for maximum performance. Additionally, the Oral-X features a unique modular design, separating the mouthpiece with LEDs from the battery and controller.
